Transition zones

Transition zones are areas of the map, such as a lift, where robots move between floors. In the Map editor, they are called Level transition zone.

How transition zones and level transition groups work is explained in detail in the Multifloor documentation.

Create a transition zone

  1. In the Map editor, select the floor in the dropdown on the left of the top toolbar.
  2. Click Add zones on map in the side toolbar and choose the Rectangle tool.
  3. Select Level transition zone as the Type and fill the settings:
    • Level transition groups: the group this zone belongs to. All the transition zones of the same lift, on every floor, must be in the same group. Click the edit icon next to the field to manage the groups.
    • Create level transition group: check it to create a new group instead. Then enter a Level transition group name and a Transition group vehicle limit, the number of robots that can use the lift at the same time. Check Create similar level transition zone in all levels to create the same zone on every floor in one go.
    • Entry preset (optional): the mission preset the robot runs before it changes floor, for example to call the lift and drive in.
    • Exit preset (optional): the mission preset the robot runs once it reaches the new floor, for example to drive out of the lift.
  4. Click Create zone and draw the zone on the map.

To change the settings later, click the zone on the map.

For the general steps to add and edit zones, see Zones.
